what our families are saying...

NEED HELP? WE GOT YOU COVERED!

Let Us Answer Your Questions about Senior Care in Our Communities.

What’s the difference between Assisted Living and a Nursing Home?

Assisted Living is for individuals who only need help with their activities of daily living such as personal care, medications, meal preparation, and other normal household chores. Skilled Nursing facilities provide the above plus onsite full-time medical care.

Does Seasons provide Assisted Living or Memory Care?

Both.  Our Navasota location is licensed for only Assisted Living. Our Conroe and Magnolia locations are licensed for Assisted Living and Memory Care. Our staff is trained for both assisted living and memory care.  Why?  According to the Alzheimer’s Association, 70% of people in care homes may have the onset of dementia or memory loss.  This is why we feel it is important to have expert staff to help with both needs.

Does Seasons provide Respite (short-term) Care?

Yes, if we have a vacant room available.  We will take care of your loved one while you take that overdue vacation or just need a break from being a caregiver.

What is your base rate?

The average rent at Seasons is between $5,500-$7500/month depending on location, room type, and resident needs. Our approach is to provide an all-in monthly rental fee allowing you to have stable, predictable monthly costs, as opposed to a base rate model which will continue to increase as the level of care needed for your loved one increases.

What is included in the "all-in" monthly fee?

Most everything.  Three meals a day with snacks, housekeeping, laundry, towels/linens, help with ADLs (such as showering, dressing, grooming, assistance with eating), activities, events, and more. Additionally, there’s no requirement for a long-term lease agreement. We offer a month-to-month rental term.

How do the meals and snacks work?

We provide three meals a day like the other facilities, but that’s where the similarities stop.  Remember, this is a residential home.  No need to travel long distances, downstairs or use an elevator to go to a cafeteria.  Just walk to the kitchen or ask the caregiver for a snack or beverage at any time.

We employ a dietitian and a chef to ensure we provide healthy and delicious meals and snacks. Dietary requirements or restrictions such as gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, etc. can easily be accommodated by our chef.

Does Medicare cover the cost of Assisted Living? Do you accept Medicaid?

No, Medicare does not cover the cost of assisted living services.

Seasons is a private-pay community. We do not accept Medicaid.

What activities are offered to the residents?

We coordinate activities based on our residents’ requests, interests and needs.  This includes specially designed (and fun) activities to keep the mind sharp and the body limber.  We also love to incorporate card games, movies, guest entertainers, speakers, and exercise routines into daily life.  We will listen to the residents and bring them into the planning of activities.

Can we get help moving our loved-one into Seasons?

We have a partnership and have negotiated good rates with a local moving company that can assist with the move.

Does Seasons provide the bedroom furniture or do we provide our own?

We encourage our families to bring their own bedroom furniture to customize the room for their loved-ones. In the event that is not feasible and furniture is unavailable, Seasons can arrange to have furniture provided at an additional cost.

My Mom has a lot of anxiety about moving out of her home and into a new place. How can I help her?

Schedule a visit and let her see the home and meet the other residents and staff.  They will be pleased to see how much independence and freedom they will have while at Seasons.

If a room is available, schedule a respite weekend and let her experience it all for herself.

If she has close friends and she’s afraid of losing touch with them, assure her that they can visit anytime, just like they do now.  Additionally, we provide video chat tools they can use anytime.

What type of emergency response or security system are at Seasons?

Each resident is provided with an emergency call button that is monitored 24/7.  We have caregivers on site (and awake) at all times that are trained to respond to emergencies.

Our state-of-the-art fire alarm, sprinklers, and HD camera systems provide an extra level of safety.

What are the visiting hours at Seasons?

We consider our residents family, not a patient in a facility.  We encourage family and friends to come and visit their loved ones at a time that works best for them.  Bring the grandchildren and join in on the activities!

Do you provide Medication Management?

Yes.  We have a medication management system that ensures each resident’s Care Plan is accurately followed.  Residents can use their own pharmacy or our preferred pharmacy provider.  Medications are stored in a secured area and given to the residents at the prescribed time.  Detailed records are also kept in our digital software.

Do you offer rehabilitation or Skilled Nursing?

While this is not a standard service offered by Seasons, it can be brought in as needed by the family or you can work with one of our partners.

What is your resident-to-staff ratio?

4:1 during the day with one or two caregivers at night.  This is one of the biggest benefits of our residential model.  Your loved one gets a lot more 1:1 care and the care is more tailored to their needs and desires.  The larger, institutional facilities simply cannot match this ratio or provide this amount of personalized care.
